UK’s Margaret Mohr-Schroeder Elected President of the School Science and Arithmetic Affiliation
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 16, 2021) — Margaret Mohr-Schroeder has been elected president of the Faculty Science and Mathematics Association. Her term will start in 2022.
Mohr-Schroeder is a professor of STEM Education and learning and associate dean for medical preparing and partnerships at the University of Kentucky Faculty of Training.
“The Faculty Science and Mathematics Association is the world’s oldest STEM organization, relationship again to 1901. I have been a member of SSMA considering the fact that 2005 as a graduate college student. The association’s initiatives to build a neighborhood of leaders within and throughout STEM, progress expertise by exploration and use that research to make an impact on our communities directly aligns with my occupation emphasis and enthusiasm. It will be an honor to serve as president and aid progress the get the job done of the association,” Mohr-Schroeder explained.

Mohr-Schroeder has been a school member in the Uk Higher education of Instruction considering that 2006. She began her profession as a junior high, high faculty, neighborhood college and higher education arithmetic teacher. During her time at Uk, Mohr-Schroeder has been involved in more than $19 million in external funding as principal investigator or co-principal investigator expanding transdisciplinary STEM Education by means of a variety of initiatives. Her research interests include informal studying in STEM Schooling, preservice instructor preparation and transdisciplinary experienced enhancement.
